Shirley Kent is an experienced, National Counselling Society accredited Counsellor. She is on a register that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Aunthority. From her successful counselling practice she offers a professional and confidential service,  seeing people in various locations throughout Devon and Somerset including Taunton, Chard  and near Honiton.


People come to see her with a range of difficulties. Maybe they are feeling sad, overwhelmed and are finding it hard to cope or perhaps they don't really know what is troubling them, they just know that something, is not quite right. Everyone is different, so she works alongside each person's specific need.


Shirley works with many different areas of counselling including: Abuse, Addictions, Affairs and Betrayals, Anger, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Eating Disorders, Family Issues, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Low Self Esteem, Panic Disorder, Phobias, Personal and Work Related Stress, Relationship Issues, Trauma, Self-Harm, Separation and Divorce and much more. She is also a dissociation friendly counsellor.


Shirley practices Emotional Therapeutic Counselling and takes an integrative approach.  This effective therapeutic approach supports you to face and understand difficulties in your life, make appropriate changes and move forward feeling stronger, happier and more content.
